Our clients love us because we return so many overcharge dollars and we do all the work!
AMTR audits for clients that have over one billion dollars per year in
annual freight spend to clients that have only several thousand dollars
in annual freight spend. There is no direct correlation between annual
freight spend and the percentage of freight records that contain overcharge
dollars.
Overcharge errors are generated by a combination of errors made by carrier
systems in conjunction with errors made by shipper systems and for hundreds of
different reasons.
Many errors are simply intrinsic to the complexity of the mixture of shippers
utilizing multiple payment/multiple traffic management systems within various
departments/divisions.
Other errors are due to incorrect tariff/contract application/interpretation of
point-to-point, mileage group rates, multiple weight rates, incorrect routing,
car size/type, commodity description, accessorial charges, diversion, re-consignment,
switching, fuel surcharges, insurance, stop offs, backhauls, hazmat charges, and
errors in loading rate engines to name a few.
No particular error is specific to any particular shipper. A variety of the above
errors may occur to some degree on all shipper records as well as many other types
of errors not named here.
Following are success profiles of actual AMTR clients. Company names are omitted due to
the confidential nature of the AMTR/client relationships.
